Singer, songwriter, producer and teacher.
Lisa Carman walks a free spirited musical path that shapes and encompasses her life. Her music and voice translates her inner soul to a final masterpiece for all to listen and experience.
Lisa’s music and lyrics explore and cross over into multiple genres, while her vocals embrace many contrasting styles. Her sultry alto mixes with glissando mid tones that effortlessly top off to a pure bell like soprano. Signature poetic lyrics are infused with light jazz phrasing, that weave through her Folk Rock/Americana/Roots Music song arrangements.
Born in upstate New York, Lisa performed out and about in New England for 20 years and began recording and producing her original records. She self-created an extensive education studio that has grown quickly to include performing troupes of teens, as well as adults singing and playing multiple instruments, all with an emphasis on creative songwriting.
Moving West to Santa Fe, her studio recording and production garnered many regional and New Mexico music awards. Ten albums completed and many new single recordings introduce new stylistic flavors and enhance the colorful genre bending she is well known for.
Producing and recording in her home studio or traveling to produce fellow singer songwriters, is Lisa’s specialty and passion.
